Planteray Paraguay Chardonnay is one of the crown jewels in the prestigious Single Casks collection—an exceptionally rare limited-edition rum that undergoes the signature Planteray triple maturation process, finished in premium French Chardonnay wine casks. Distilled from sugarcane honey at the Fortin Distillery in Paraguay, one of the largest in Latin America, this rum begins its journey with 3+ years of tropical aging in ex-bourbon barrels before traveling by sea to Château de Bonbonnet in southwestern France for secondary maturation in Ferrand Cognac casks. The final and most crucial step involves finishing in hand-selected Chardonnay wine casks, carefully chosen by Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel to add elegance, complexity, and refined oak integration. Bottled at 49.1% ABV in extremely limited quantities as numbered bottles, each release represents a singular, never-to-be-repeated expression.

The nose reveals the elegant influence of Chardonnay, opening with bright notes of stone fruit—white peach and pear—layered with citrus zest, vanilla, and subtle oak that whispers rather than shouts.
