Product details
Very complex nose, slightly smoky and meaty with fruity, herbal and sour notes building up. Next vanilla come forward, almost pastry-like, with cooked banana, bitter orange peel and ripe pineapple. Palate is dry, with a more floral and fruitier profile of rose water, soursop, pear, white grape, apricot and sugar-apple. Next some coconut milk, balsam, allspices, bread and nuts emerge.
- Big time Jamaican funk, ready to use right from the bottle

Loved it in a Negroni.
I appreciate what Xaymaca Special Dry brings to a cocktail and especially when blending multiple rums. There is a solid funkiness, but the dryness keeps that profile focussed, which is extremely useful. Good value too.
Very happy with this
Big time Jamaican funk, ready to use right from the bottle (if you don't feel like blending with another rum to balance the funk, don't!)
Killer rum with the suggested Mai Thai mix from Bitters and Bottles. Love that place.
Significantly tastier than the price point would have you believe. Very little to no burn. Comes off with a little bit of a standard Jamaican funk, but also has the sweet backbone that Plantation rum's tend to have. I would call this rum "truly enjoyable" since nothing about the flavor is offensive and you can drink/mix it without needing to be too conservative due to price point.
