I purchased this for the first time in Puerto Rico, 20 years ago, by recommendation of a local. This is the first time i've seen it in the US for sale. Complex, clean, a great choice for after dinner, great alternative to cognac, or other dark spirits. It is my favorite rum in it's class, and probably the class above.
This is my favorite sipping rum. Great neat, with ice or in a rum old fashioned. I like to make a modified rum old fashioned / corn and oil with this special rum: 2oz Barrilito 3* and 0.25oz falernum. Tastes great.
I've never seen this in America, and they carry the 2 star too! Such a find!
