The new Rowan's Creek, now fully distilled, aged, and bottled by the Willett distillery, fulfills the expectation for unexpected set by the old bottlings. The signature spicy musty quality that Willett excels at is there, but it is met with an equally robust character of florals and citrus oils, a delightful surprise. Like the evening of a bright spring day, lightly dusted with cinnamon. A hint of smoke descends on the finish, with cedar and stone fruit sat on the porch in a post-prandial duet sung in perfect harmony. Bottled at 50.05% abv. For an even more hi-fi version of the same whiskey, try Noah's Mill.

I grabbed this bottle because it was considered "slightly lighter than Noah's Mill" and was looking to try try something new. I enjoyed the bottle with 2 others over a weekend and we were all pleasantly surprised! Great neat but also adds a nice level of complexity to an Old Fashioned. Definitely worth a try.
I’ll take mine Neat please, may I have another I’m no expert but I know what I like. Rowan’s creek is everything I never knew I always wanted in a bourbon. I bought it on a whim because it bears my sons name. Only after did the realization kick in that it’s connected to fancy bottle Willett (my favorite bourbon). This is a great Go To liquor for any occasion. Cheers!!
Great in an old fashioned ...
After experiencing this Bourbon for the first time back in April, I knew I needed a bottle for my home collection. It was just my luck that my time in SF this past week had me stumble across Bottle Bitters. Firstly an amazing independent store and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. But more importantly, for an independent store they have a frantstic selection of not just Whiskey, Bourbon and Bitters. Highly recommend a visit as well as this unbelievable bourbon! Batch 17-70 has a smooth taste that leaves you with that whiskey smile
