One of Italy's best-selling spirits (and its top brandy), this is distilled from the Trebbiano grape, known as Ugni Blanc in France. Its bold and elegant taste is produced as a result of a double distillation and double ageing process - first in barriques and then oak barrels. On the nose hints of tropical fruit, such as papaya and pineapple, blend with vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. Vanilla and crisp notes are combined with caramelized baked pear. The palate is smooth and round with hints of vanilla, cinnamon, and strong notes of clove.

This is a delightful brandy. It had good flavor and a wonderfully smooth swallow and finish. It is the perfect end to a great meal or companionable evening. I first drank it in Italy and have continued to search it out in the 30 years since my first taste. I highly recommend it.
When my hubby saw this bottle at a local Italian restaurant, he nostalgically ordered and savored a glass. The old timers in his family enjoyed it years ago in Italy and the US, and he had not seen it in decades. I searched for the bottle to surprise him, but it was really hard to find…until now.
