Westward American Single Malt Whiskey
Born of the unique culture, climate and abundant resources of the Pacific Northwest, Westward Whiskey has been been a leading voice for American Single Malt for nearly two decades. Their process begins by brewing an artisanal American Ale from scratch, using locally malted barley, ale yeast, and a slow, low-temperature fermentation. They then twice distill in custom low-flux pot stills before maturing their whiskey new, lightly charred American Oak barrels.
The nose shows citrus peel, honey, peaches, and spice. On the palate, more honey and peach, with milk chocolate, brown sugar, and light oak spice. Finish is medium-long and full of chocolate. Bottled at 45% abv.
