Whistle Pig is big and brawny rye. Silky on the tongue, first flavors reflect caramel, burnt orange and a whisper of smoke, then a mouth-warming wave of tannic bite sweeps over all and lingers for a good long time.

Very flavorful. Nice rye spice.
Whistlepig gets a lot of hype and generally hyped brands underwhelm, so I was skeptical the first time I had it, but changed my mind the minute it hit my lips.
It has a less-spicy note then many Ryes I've had, with a dominant vanilla note on the nose and palate. I find myself reaching for it more and more as a daily drinker, which may get pricey, but it's worth it!
Just damn good booze!
A bit of an Iodine finish, not enough spice. It's ok, but for the price, there are better ryes out there.

I have had it many times before I bought thus as a Christmas present for a friend
