Wild Turkey 101 Proof 8 Year Bourbon

Although its been sold overseas since the early '90s, this age stated version of Wild Tukey's flagship bourbon is finally available in the USA. Wild Turkey 101 8 Year was distilled from a mash of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley and aged at least 8 years before bottling at 101 proof. The nose gives scents of vanilla frosting, toffee, spiced oak, black cherry, and clove. On the palate, flavors of rich caramel, and vanilla melt into cinnamon, black pepper, and chocolate. The finish features more chocolate along with brown sugar, peppery spice, and toasted oak. A step up in quality from the classic 101, this age stated release is a great addition to the Wild Turkey lineup.
