Willett Family Estate 4 Year Bourbon

Willett Family Estate 4 Year Bourbon joins their cult classic Family Estate Rye, showcasing a young spirit with remarkable maturity and character, bottled from the carefully managed stocks of their small Bardstown family distillery. Though it has no grand double digit age statement, this bourbon, like the rye before it, shows that what matters is exceptional starting material, meticulous production, and ideal storage conditions. Good grain and careful barrel management means good whiskey. 

The nose opens with fresh vanilla, caramel, and oak leading the charge, followed by warm spice, hints of cherry, and a touch of toasted grain that shows excellent balance of wood influence. The palate is lively and well-structured, with bold vanilla and caramel flavors underpinned by rye spice and black pepper. Notes of oak spice, brown sugar, and subtle stone fruit emerge as the bourbon opens up, leading to a medium length warm finish, with persistent spice and oak that has that signature Willett musty spice twinkle. A new classic.
