San Matias Tahona Anejo Tequila
Delicate aroma of roasted agave, almond, and caramel. Light toasty oak and a subtle blend of barrel/baking spices. Hints of chocolate and vanilla nougat. Nicely sipable with hints of red fruit. Moderate tannin and pepper bite. Salinity, caramel, and buttery marzipan continue to run across the palate. Bright agave fruitiness still on the front line. Silky mouth feel with a hint of dryness in the finish.
San Matias Tahona is the result of 130 years of experience and time-honored methods reflecting Casa San Matias passion for producing exquisite tequila. This 100% artisanal, small-batch tequila is made according to tradition. To achieve the fullest flavor, the agave is steamed in stone ovens, crushed with the original tahona stone from 1886, fermented in wooden vats and distilled in copper pot stills – just as it was done centuries ago.
