Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur

I'm very pleased that there was a trial $5 bottle available. Creme Yvette is superior in complexity and flavor, but has been out of stock for a long time so I thought this was worth a try. I wouldn't recommend it.

More blue than purple sk aviation turned out the wrong color...plus the taste is a bit off

If you only have space for one liqueur for your bar, well, probably get Grand Marnier. But this stuff is super high quality and has versatility beyond the aviation.

Great product and I would buy again but this will last for quite some time. Very unique and beautiful floral scent. Very well made! I can’t believe I didn’t find this sooner. I guess I need to drink more alcohol!!!

I bought this specifically to make the classic Aviation cocktail. It came out absolutely perfectly! Wonderful blue color, and a mild floral flavor that complements the gin and Maraschino wonderfully. Here's the specs I used:

2 oz London Dry Gin
0.75 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz Maraschino
0.25 oz Violet Liqueur

Combine and shake vigorously in a cocktail shaker. Garnish with a cherry. Enjoy.

1.5 Bourbon, .75 Madeira, .5 violet liqueur, .5, .5 lemon juice, .5 pineapple juice. Delicious, beautiful strange color. A keeper!

The Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur makes an excellent Aviation. Not too sugary or sweet and plays really well with Plymouth Gin. Definitely a nice addition to the home bar.
