Product details
Rich with honey and weighty on the tongue, it's sweet on its own but beautiful in cocktails. The warm, funky honey-and-spice profile is a darling among the mixology set, who often mix it with Tequila and other spirits. Traditionally it is served straight, chilled, or with ice. It can also be served with coffee, or coffee and equal parts tequila. Mix with tequila and lime to make a "Maya margarita".
- Very tasty and versatile as far as a cocktail element.
- Fell in love with this drink on a trip to the Yucatan.
- Interesting combination of anise and honey. Both tastes play with your palate.

Very tasty and versatile as far as a cocktail element. Also hard to find! Cheers
We haven't been able to find Xtabentun anywhere, not only did Bitters and Bottles have it, they delivered it 2 days after my order! I'm amazed and so grateful, thank you, you guys are the best!!!!
hard to find item - BITTERS and BOTTLES had it !
Fell in love with this drink on a trip to the Yucatan 2 years ago. I'm thrilled to be able to obtain it in the States!
It's sweeter than expected, due to the honey - similar to Tej (Ethiopian honey wine), but higher proof and with a taste of anise. I subbed it in for half of the tequila in a margarita and was happy with the result.
Xtabentún is an interesting combination of anise and honey. Both tastes pay with your palate and neither overwhelms the other. I'm just trying a Sacrifice, 50/50 Xtabentún/Tequila combination. A very nice combo, on the sweet side. I want to try it in a minor role in a cocktail, maybe substituting it for an anisette.
