love this rum!

I bought this to take on vacation with me to make our own Mai Tai's. It's a great addition to any bar. Definitely has that "funk" to it so friends who know what a real Mai Tai is love it and those that are used to fruit juice based mock Mai Tai's have a little trouble with a real one. Needless to say we finished off the entire bottle.

I bought this rum after reading about it in the Smugglers Cove recipe book. It made the perfect Mai Tai, this will be my default MT rum from now on. I was super happy with the delivery service too, it arrived so fast, which is good as im going to need another bottle!

On a quest to find my favorite Mai Tai, I keep returning to this rum. I've tried several combinations of much higher priced offerings and have enjoyed a lot of those variants, but there's something about the Denizen Merchant's Reserve rum that makes the perfect Mai Tai for me. It might be an emotional connection for me because this is what they use at Smuggler's Cove now days or it could be simply because it's delicious. There's just enough hogo in this to make it interesting while not being overpowering for those not used to such funk. As a sipper, it's a bit hollow and lacking but it's a fantastic backbone for a really great Mai Tai!

Purchased this for Quarantine Mai Tai Monday’s. Makes a great Mai Tai, but is delicious to sip on its own.

An amazing rum made specifically for the original Trader Vic's Mai Tai. This helps make you understand why the Mai Tai, in it's original form, is such an incredible drink.

This was a great recommendation and replacement for the runs I normally use for May Tai.
