The name Fylleangst is a playful nod to Scandinavian drinking culture. A Norwegian word basically translating as "drunk anxiety", Fylleangst refers to the feeling of concern brought about by reflecting on one’s behavior after a night of heavy drinking. Distilled from a base of wheat and malted rice, New Alchemy distillery spent the better part of a year developing what is intended to be a uniquely west coast interpretation of this classic Scandinavian staple. Fylleangst is vapor distilled with toasted caraway, coriander, cumin, anise, fenugreek, summer savory, and lemongrass (to name a few). Wonderful on it's own or as the base to any number of cocktails that could benefit from that complex, savory element that only Aquavit can bring. Bottled at 42.5% abv.
