Lucero bottles exceptional expressions made with wild and semi-cultivated agaves, crafted by diverse mezcaleros using unique techniques. Among their makers, legendary master mezcalera Berta Vasquez from San Baltazar Chichicapam creates some of the finest distillates available. Her Tepeztate releases are perennial favorites, harnessing an agave that takes decades to mature. On the nose, this batch offers wet river stones, grapefruit, candied papaya, and a hint of grappa. The palate brings lush tropical fruits, green pepper, wood-fired pizza crust, and smoked meat, all wrapped in signature minerality.
