Product details
From Distillatori Nonino in Italy's Friuli. This amaro is a grape distillate infused with herbs and aged in barrique. The Quinessentia Amaro Nonino has fragrant mountain herbs. It's delicious as an aperitivo served with a slice of orange or on its own as a digestivo. Also, try this in a Paper Plane.
- The very best amaro you can buy
- Great balance of flavors, not overwhelmingly bitter or sweet
- Deliciously balanced Amaro and one I'm definitely keep stocked in my bar

Made my first Paper Plane with Nonino… Excellent!
Probably the most balanced amaro. Very nice.
sugar water. literally. nothing there but sugar water.
It is my humble opinion that Nonino Amaro is the very best amaro you can buy. New amaros are coming online all the time now that the “genre” has been discovered but this is tried and true best of the best. My wife has insisted for years to always have some in the liquor cabinet.
Not my first one, so yes, love the Nonino. Searching for better, but not found. More importantly though, really digging the Bardstown Fusion series bourbon. Gonna hide that one in back until I can get more. Don’t mix them, just have them amongst y’all.
Purchased this to make Paper Planes and was impressed! Deliciously balanced Amaro and one I'm definitely keep stocked in my bar.
Highly recommend!
As other reviews have said, goes great in a paper plane but worthwhile in other cocktails. Great balance of flavors, not overwhelmingly bitter or sweet like others.
For a digestif amaro, this has subtle flavors without overwhelming orange. Not syrupy. Great neat or on the rocks
I was surprised to find that I actually liked this one less the the cheaper Amaros I have purchases. It’s good but not my favorite. Averna is still best
If you are looking for an easy bourbon based cocktail, buy this bottle and make a Paper Plane! One of my favorite drinks to make, and this Amaro is awesome!
This amaro is a delicious sipper - great by itself or in a cocktail. Its worth the price!
Great splashed into a full proof bourbon or rye, iced and strained into a lemon peel. Exotic but def Italian.
I've mostly used this to make paper planes, they've been a huge hit with my friends and family. It's also nice up after dinner or with a splash of soda water.
Delicous amari... can't stop making paper planes.
Nonino is one of my favorite Amaros!
