Made of a blend of Ross and Squib’s (formerly MGP) 51% rye whiskey and its 95% rye whiskey, Old Ezra is aged for seven years before being charcoal filtered and bottled at a robust 114 proof. The nose presents pleasant oak and vanilla scents with hints of mint and citrus. Sipping reveals sweet caramel and vanilla backed by citrus and some peppery spice. The pepper lingers into the finish, which also brings earthy oak and tobacco notes. A tasty and welcome new addition to the Old Ezra line.
