Is there a more beloved and essential whiskey for mixing? If you were to poll any group of bartenders on the first bottle they reach for when someone orders a whiskey cocktail, we're willing to bet Rittenhouse is a top vote getter every time. It showcases the classic peppery rye spice, to be sure, but wins you over with it's fruity side, bringing out peach, banana, and dried fruits like apricot and raisin. The 50% abv also makes it nicely assertive in a cocktail, refusing to be buried by any vermouth or liqueurs you can throw at it.
- Best rye at its price point bar none.
- It always adds that perfect balance to a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
- Bold and balanced enough to lend the right amount of spirit to any rye-based cocktail.

My favorite rye for making cocktails.
Rittenhouse Rye is my go to for cocktails. It always adds that perfect balance to a manhattan or old fashioned. It also has an excellent price for such a wonderful whiskey.
Makes a proper Manhattan or an old fashioned!
Best rye at it's price point bar none.
A true staple. Bold and balanced enough to lend the right amount of spirit to any rye-based cocktail. That, plus its price point, make it a go-to for a ton of craft cocktail bars!
I used this in a Sazerac according to the recipe in "Cocktail Codex". It works great in that, and I assume in other cocktails, but its not very pleasant neat.
I picked up this saucy little number after seeing it pop up a few times on YouTube's greatest drinky channel, How To Drink.
I dig the high horse power on this one, 100 horse power is a nice little extra kick to your morning commute. I kid, I kid! This is 2020, like anyone has a commute any more!
Listen, a rye on the rocks over a summer evening is a pretty special thing. The high horse power on this doesn't drown out the delicious full mouth feel and complexities of this rye. Dollar for dollar, it's a heavyweight hanging out in the featherweight circuit.
Try it on the rocks with a splash of club soda and a twist of orange on those lazy self isolation evenings.
Likely one of the most versatile ryes for cocktails.
This is a great Rye to add a Italian Marciano Cherry and ice. Just keep it simple and it's perfecto!
Straight forward and solid rye - I think I went in to BB just in need of a staple. It rotates but this was a great pickup and reasonable priced. Classic label, classic color.
