Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey

In their relatively short time putting out whiskey, Teeling has made a name for themselves with their grain focused bottlings and unique cask finishing program. The newer Single Malt expression plays to their house style, while upping the ante by using 100% malt whiskeys, aged in five different wine-casks, including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. A complicated, yet elegant and balanced expression.

A lush nose of white grapes, vanilla, toffee, unripe melon, and rich toffee. Fruit forward on the palate, with more of the white grape character, which makes this one a perfect summertime sipper. Cashew, vanilla, oak, apricot, mango, cinnamon, tart berries, and earl grey tea notes all show up as well. Drier and more crisp than the generally sweet leaning Teeling bottlings, it's exciting and delicious stuff from Dublin. Double Gold rating from the SF Spirits Competition.
