Thresh & Winnow 8 Year Single Malt Whiskey

Accomplished Chicago craft distillers Koval have released a premium organic spirits line called Thresh & Winnow.  One of the first releases for the new line is a single malt whiskey distilled from 100% malted barley and aged for at least 8 years before single casks are bottled at 100 proof.  The nose offers notes of honey, dried orchard fruits, barley sugar, and oak.  The palate is sweet and drinkable with flavors of caramel, honey, toffee, and a hint of baking spice.  A medium finish leaves the mouth coated with very pleasant sweet nougat and oak flavors.
