Vago Mexicano Hijos de Aquilino Mezcal

Mezcal Vago Mexicano Hijos de Aquilino García is a wild-crafted artisanal mezcal produced at a robust 51.5% ABV in Candelaria Yegolé, Oaxaca, by Temo and Mateo García, who carry on the ancestral legacy of their late father, the legendary master mezcalero Aquilino García López. Crafted from wild Maguey Mexicano agaves grown on rugged hillsides, the hearts are slow-roasted in underground stone pits, crushed by a stone tahona wheel, naturally fermented in pine vats, and double-distilled in small copper pot stills. This rigorous, zero-additive process yields an oily, complex mouthfeel featuring a sweet nose of crisp peaches and cinnamon, a bold palate of green herbs and hot desert rocks, and a long finish of toasted vanilla and clean campfire smoke.
