Cocchi's Vermouth Amaro has been created according to the original recipe by Giulio Cocchi, in which Artemisia (wormwood) is enriched with rhubarb, quassia wood, chiretta and a double infusion of cinchona. The addition of Barolo Chinato to the base wine gives delicately red nuances and a further soft and complex note – totally Cocchi style. The richness of the bitterness makes this vermouth a choice tonic aperitif, but it is especially beloved as a night cap, hence the name Dopo Teatro, or "After Theater" - an allusion to when vermouths in this style were popular late night tipples after a performance at the opera house. Drink it in the Dopo Teatro style on the rocks with a twist of lemon, or use it as a perfect bittering agent in classic cocktails. Bottled at 16% abv.
