Very similar notes to the Hamilton Blackstrap
This rum has some interesting flavors. I get a lot of squishy pineapple, prunes, date sugar, green apple, cane, banana peel, dried herbs (bay leaves, anise) and then a bit of wood on the finish. Funkier than Appleton 12 and J.Wray Gold (also Appleton) and would certainly add character to exotic cocktails as it has a heavy pot still kick that softens out. Complex Jamaica Gold that can spike your Volcano or Punch! Will definitely buy again when I see it!
