Another first from this fledgling artisan distillery, highlighting just one of the reasons small independent distillers are so vital and interesting. Distilled like their other eau de vies from 100% fruit with zero additives, artificial flavorings or sweeteners, the mangoes are sourced from Mexico at peak ripeness during the January-February season. There are stunning heady fireworks in the aromas and flavors. The palate is focused, dry and elegant with a perfect balance of alcohol, rich, fleshy texture and mouth-watering finish. The flavors take mango to another dimension making this surprisingly versatile whether sipped chilled neat or used in mixed drinks.

I've purchased several bottles of this and the mango aroma is POWERFUL. It's a dry eau de vie and is really useful when you want to add mango flavor without resorting to a puree or syrup. It's a bit pricey but in most cocktails .25oz is enough to impart some loud mango notes to say, a daiquiri or even a manhattan.
I've done the smell/taste test with people before and if the other reviewer isn't getting mango IMMEDIATELY maybe he got an off bottle.
Bought this on a quest make every drink in a book I have because I'm OCD.
I've let a few people smell and taste this bottle, and no one has guessed mangos or brandy! I'm not sure what this tastes like, but it doesn't taste good and there are 100's of better bottles of booze I can recommend at this price.
Disappointed would be an understatement.
