Chinaco uses agave grown in Tamaulipas. Close to the ocean, its soil is rich with minerals, creating flavorful and intense agave. High elevation farming also contributes to the complexity, with elevations reaching 5,000 feet it allows for greater phenolic ripeness, imparting a spiciness and herbal quality while maintaining acidity. Sourcing agave from Tamaulipas also means navigating unpredictable weather and political instability, but the resulting Tequila is incredibly satisfying with additional salinity and minerality from its uniquely coastal location.
