The Fernwood is an agave based spin on the oft-forgotten vintage cocktail the Bijou, once a respected contemporary of the Martini and the Manhattan. The original has largely failed to catch on in recent years perhaps because in it's equal parts formulation it leans sickly sweet, and just a bit much overall. This spin on the formula not only plays with the ratios, but subs in an earthy reposado tequila for gin, and slightly lighter and more subtle blanc vermouth for red, or sweet vermouth. Along with Brucato's fruit forward Chaparral in place of Green Chartreuse, you end up with a wonderfully balanced and unique drink that captures the spirit of the original, while at the same time seeming utterly modern and more thoughtfully balanced. Includes one 750 ml bottle of Brucato Chaparral, one 750 ml bottle of La Gritona Reposado Tequila, one 750 ml bottle of Del Professore Classico Bianco Vermouth, and a recipe card.
