Larceny Barrel Proof Batch C923 Bourbon

The third barrel proof release of 2023 from Larceny, this wheated bourbon is comprised of barrels aged from 6-8 years and is bottled without chill filtration at 124.4 proof.  The nose opens with lively baking spice including cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, followed by scents of toasted marshmallow, milk chocolate, and charred oak.  The palate surprises with a fruity and sweet opening featuring flavors of peach cobbler and berry compote with caramel drizzle.  This is balanced by rich spice notes of cinnamon and black pepper along with charred oak.  The finish is long and leaves flavors of cinnamon, fruit pastry, and chocolatey oak lingering well after the sip is over.
