A go-to whiskey when you’re on the bourbon/rye fence. It has mellow vanilla and oak flavors, and a faint cherry essence on the long finish that seems to urge, “stir up a few Manhattans already.”

This is a good drink. It indeed tastes like a sour mash, and doesn't have the fiery burn associated with some sour mash bottles (often labeled as some kind of moonshine). I like Mitchter's Rye and Bourbon. However, with some of the explosive flavors in recent releases of various Bourbons, this was kind of bland.

This is a super smooth pour with some sweetness. Very little bite. The finish gives me a slight hint of toasted caramel. Good pour at a reasonable price.
