A grappa-based liqueur made from the peel of the Cedro lemon, that can be described as “the noble cousin of limoncello” if you stripped away the added sugar and made it altogether more sophisticated. The Cedro fruit comes mainly from the Lake Garda area and only its skin is used. It is transparent and crystalline with a distinct citrus aroma – sweet with predominate lemon flavors, but with a really dry aftertaste that allows it to be a delicate occasional drink. This clean, crisp, dry and citrusy treat is best when enjoyed straight from the freezer, or over ice with a lemon twist.
