Each year, Plantation releases the real pearls of their boozy bounty as their limited "Vintage Collection", always beautifully packaged and at a stellar value for well aged rums. Each a single origin rum, they showcase both the unique styles of the distilleries they hail from, as well as Plantation's signature double aging in Cognac casks.
The Jamaica 2007, from Clarendon distillery, displays the fruitiness that is typical of Plantation's Cognac cask finishing, but then turns the dial up in a way only Jamaican pot still rum can, with a little extra spice to boot. Notes of banana, apricot, allspice, persimmon, guava, apple, and ginger give you plenty to chew on. Bottled at 48.4% abv.
